Spring Fling - Paperbag 6x6 Minibook Kit!

Paperbags aren't just for carrying your lunch anymore!
You can make a fun & unique 6x6 paperbag mini album with our new Spring Fling Project Kit!

At the last retreat we attended our paperbag mini albums were quite a hit. We completely sold out of them over the course of a weekend! We can take a hint -- so we designed an all new paperbag minibook kit!
This album is great for displaying all your favorite Spring memories or it could be the perfect gift for the soon-to-be graduate in your life! The Spring Fling Project Kit has everything you need to complete the project - a paperbag mini album, coordinating papers, sticker letters, ribbon, and embellies. (even an exclusive T & D zipper flower!)
Crystal used her kit to show off all of her favorite Spring pics from 2009!

Soon-to-be pins

We're back with more of our homemade baby shower ideas from Kelli's shower!  Awhile back we were shopping around our local craft store for some decorating supplies when we came across some pins designed especially for baby showers.  There was a pin for the Soon-to-be Mom, Soon-to-be Grandma, etc.  We really liked the idea of giving Kelli's family something special to highlight their new role.  Also, Kelli's mom is EXTREMELY excited to be a grandma again, so we just knew she would love a button to make sure everyone at the shower could see that she is the grandma-to-be! The problem - the pins we saw at the store were U-G-L-Y  and the colors definitely did not match her shower theme.  So what do we do?? Make our own of course!

Here's how we made them...

Reduce - Reuse - Recycle Challenge Part 1

We're doing are part at Thingamabobs and Doodads to make the earth a little more GREEN!

We welcome you to part 1 of our Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Challenge

Ah the craft room...it should inspire us to be more...crafty!

For our first project for the Reduce - Reuse - Recycle Challenge, we turned a small used coffee cup into a cute Spring marker holder for our desk.  If you are anything like us your craft room can quickly turn into a chaotic mess while working on a project! Anything to help stay organized is a good thing - especially when it's pretty and recycled!

MATERIALS:
Small disposable coffee cup
Strong adhessive - we used Terrifically Tacky Tape
Patterned Paper, Ribbon, and coordinating embellies.
Ink (optional)

Reduce - Reuse - Recycle

It seems that here at Thingamabobs & Doodads we have been on a crafty kick of recycling everyday household items into all of our latest projects. We have used paperbags, playing cards, zippers and more - so why not keep with the trend?!

Join us this week for the Reduce - Reuse - Recycle Challenge! We will be showing off our recycled creations all week. We plan to take these items and turn them into something useful and pretty!

We challenge you to do the same! On Friday, we will have a Linky party for you to show off YOUR recycled creations!

Who knew that recycling could be so fun?!

A fun and unique embellishment!

Zipper flowers seem to be all the rage these days. We have seen them on t-shirts, headbands, and of course in scrapbook layouts. So we thought we would try making our very own zipper flowers.

They turned out to be pretty easy to make.
