A scrapbook makes a great gift and…a daunting task.
The answer? Mini Books!
The answer? Mini Books!
There’s no need to spend tons of cha-ching to get a neat mini book. Use things you have around the house!
Today we are happy to share a super easy and fun mini book made from playing cards.
Playing cards are so inexpensive. They can easily be found at dollar stores, thrift stores, or the bottom of your game bin.
Materials:
Deck of playing cards
eyelets
ribbon
photo’s
coordinating papers and embellishments
How To:
Embellish your pages first. This will make it easier to put together at the end after you punch through your eyelets. Keep in mind you will have some hole punching along the one edge when
placing your photos and embellishments.
placing your photos and embellishments.
Once your pages are embellished, decide how you want to bind your book. Punch your holes in the cover then continue punching the corresponding holes in the remaining pages using the previous page you punched as your guide. Or, create a template out of a playing card you are not using in the book. Place your eyelets and bind with ribbon.
Finishing Touches:
Create a box to hold your new treasure! We’ve created a template to help you out with this one. The most important thing, making sure it’s large enough to fit your finished book. If you would like to receive the template, please contact us.
Make someone’s day…create a mini book as your next gift!
Happy Scrappin!
