DIY Birth Announcement

Here's a quick project "brag"....

Proof you don't need to spend a lot on birth announcements

Total cost each: $0.64
compared to average online photo card price of
$1.20 each

Bonus...it's homemade!

Very simple to do:

5x7 solid color card stock
3x7 patterned strip
2-3 coordinated punched butterflies
roughly 12 inches ribbon
clear photo corners
printed photo
(photoshop elements used to imprint birth info and embellish edges, photo ordered from http://www.mpix.com/)

The photo is placed on a 5x7 card with clear photo corners so the recipient can remove the photo as a keepsake.

30 announcements were created and no two were alike. Use those creative juices to play around with your design, or streamline the process and assembly line your project. Either way...you can't lose!

Happy Creating!

  3. Those are so sweet and being able to add digital elements really make it so much easier to get professional quality results, don't they? I love the addition of the little butterflies. Sometimes people tell me papercrafts are too expensive to get started in but picking a meaningful project like this takes just a few supplies and really does cut down on expense. Would love you to join me at A Crafty Soiree, every Thursday.
