A, B, C, Dog

Color, Fun, and Creativitiy! That is what every kids room needs!

Our Alphabet Canvas is a great addition to any child's room.  But don't stop with alphabets.  You can use any art you like!

  • Your child's artwork copied and reduced to fit into the squares

  • Fun and bright paper

  • Silly photos of the childs family or friends
Materials:

Canvas - size of your choice
Craft paint
Assortment of coordinating papers
Embellishments
(i.e. ribbon, buttons, brads, rhinestones, chipboard letters, etc)

Our March kit, Hello Sunshine would make a great canvas art project! Lot's of coordinating papers and embellishments.  Plus you'll still have plenty of materials for all your scrapbooking needs!

How To:

Paint the canvas and let dry
Cut the paper squares to your desired size.  For both projects shown the
paper squares are cut to 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 and layered with 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 roughly.  Then get creative with your embellishments.  We used paper punches, decorative edge scissors, buttons, ribbon, threads, decorative paper clips, etc. If the lucky kiddie who's room this is for is age appropriate, get them involved!

Have fun and happy crafting!

  6. Great questions ladies!

The minute I saw the animal paper, I envisioned this canvas. I originally made the canvas as a baby shower gift for a friend.

The paper is from K&Company: Jenn Ski Actopus to Zelephant Alphabet Quilt Thermography Paper

For the girlie canvas we used Cosmo Cricut's Girl Friday paper. We inked the chipboard letters to match our paper colors. This canvas actually hangs in my office, since I am a bit girly myself!
